Misconceptions of Marriage.
I am in the season of my life when everyone is getting married. Before we were married I had so many misconceptions of marriage. I think this is because you only know what you see and learn from everyone around you. My parents have been married 37 years and they were such an amazing example of what a marriage should be. So I based what I thought my marriage should and would be like off of what I had witnessed from my parents. This is what I thought...
-I thought you ate dinner together, went to sleep together, got up together and got ready for work together. This is not the case for us. Our schedules are so different that this is not normally feasible for us.
-I thought you slept just like the movies.... but it normally happens like the picture below. James gets pushed off the bed on a regular basis.
-I pretty much thought marriage looked like this, no imperfections.
