Let's catch up.

I have been away from blogging for WAY too long now... so let's catch up.

I turned 22 on March 22.

We moved from our old house into our new house on March 28th.
MESS!

Easter was wonderful.

We had Mother's day dinner at my parents house.

My mom started selling Thirty-One Gifts :)

Our youngest niece, Savanna, turned one year old!

We hung out at the lake.

Liliana made the cheerleading team.

We saw Darius Rucker in concert.

We went on vacation to visit our good friends in Orlando.
And saw the Yankees beat the Rays!

And my little cousin graduated high school!

So with all of that catching up... I promise to be better about blogging. Thank you to everyone who is still following me after my long absence! :)

I confess...

Linking up with Catalyn again this week for confessions. You should link up too!

-I confess... I went to get a fun size piece of chocolate at work today and ended up eating a whole chocolate muffin.... not fun sized.

-I confess... that I have listened to Taylor Swift's CD over and over and over again for about 3 weeks straight now.... and I am not ashamed!

-I confess... that I am definitely going to do bachelorette recaps for the new season. That will be so much fun!

-I also confess... that I think Sean and Katherine are going to break up before the wedding happens... Sadly. She just seems too unsure and not ready to settle down.

-I confess... that I am about to start counting down the days until the new HUNGER GAMES movie comes out. I have got to start reading the books all over again to get ready for that!

And on that note....

May the odds be ever in your favor.

Just because... I love my puppy lately.

You see, I have never had a dog that lived in my house. I had dogs, Jasmine and all of her puppies, Rex, Oreo, Cody....the list goes on and on. But they always lived in my backyard. So when I got James our puppy for his birthday the year before we got married I did not know what in the world I was in for. So when we got married and I lived with a dog in my house for the first time it was a big adjustment to say the least. I couldn't (and still can't) stand all the hair he sheds that we have to sleep or vacuum (it feels like) everyday, and taking him out to the bathroom and putting him up when we eat and worring about who is going to keep him when we are gone... blah blah blah. Those are things that I had to adjust to

but who can't love a face like this....

Packer turned two last week and we had a "birthday" for him with a cupcake from his "grandpa" and a hat that he tried to eat. He is a precious little thing when he wants to be. Most days I do wish he was an outdoor dog but some days lately I just look at him and think how precious he is and how much he loves us... or loves us for feeding him too much human food and letting him live in our house. Either way, he is pretty cute, I have to admit.

Do you see my new header and buttons?!

My blog friend Missy @ Color That made those for me! I love everything chevron and turquoise. I told Missy that and she made that beautiful-ness happen for me! (Yes, I know that is not a word.) They are awesome and she was so great to make them for me! I cannot thank her enough! You should go check out her blog and see how cool she is for yourself!

In other news....

The Bachelor finale is tonight! I cannot wait. Although, I don't think the relationship will last no matter who he chooses, because let's face it... it's the bachelor and it has only worked out a few times. It is fun to see it play out regardless. So who will it be?!

We will know in about 2 hours!! AHHH!

Happy Monday!

Sad to see the weekend end...

My weekend started at noon on Friday.

James went to Charlotte to watch OKC Thunder play so I had a sleep over at my parents because I hate to stay alone!

My sweet momma took me to get a manicure and we went shopping for new house decorations!
(My color: "I have a herring problem" OPI Gel)

Dad and I love weird movies so I rented Looper and we watched it together. It is an awesome movie if you like drama/suspense movies!

I work up Saturday morning and had a very healthy breakfast: Toaster Strudels. (hey, I added some kiwi to make it "healthy") Anything with icing on it is good in my book!

Saturday I went to a funeral :( and shopped some more!

James and I stayed at his brother's house Saturday night because James was working in the town where he lives. He cooked us an awesome dinner with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and bacon wrapped beef tenderloin! It was awesome!

Sunday consisted of packing, packing and more packing.... Only 2 more weeks to pack up this whole house!

My first friday letter.

Dear Jamaica, I miss you a lot after looking at all of those pictures of you yesterday. Dear Husband, I am so proud of you for everything  you have done lately! You are the best! Dear weekend, I am so happy you are here. This week has been... challenging and I am not sad to see it go. Dear Sean the Bachelor, just run... run away. Do not propose because it clearly will not last. The track record of the show is not good, at all. I love the show and watch it for entertainment but let's be for real, you did not find love. Dear self, stop being addicted to sweets. It is bad for you and you are getting out of control.Dear new blog friends, thank you for all of your encouragement and nice comments. It made my week so much better and brought a smile to my face!

Honeymooning.

Our honeymoon was a complete dream come true! We went to a Sandals resort in Jamaica called Sandals Royal Caribbean. I cannot express how nice the people were and how amazing that place is overall. We are planning a trip back there for our two year anniversary. As soon as we left I couldn't wait to go back.

We stayed in the big ATL the night after our wedding. We left the wedding at about 10pm and it took us about 2 hours to get to Atlanta so by the time we got there it was midnight. We were exhausted and our plane took off at 7am and we had to be there 2 hours early. Therefore we got a total of 4 hours of sleep. We looked awesome... NOT.
But when we got to Jamaica our almost sleepless night was totally worth it.

View from our room

Our First Night Out.

These guys made our whole trip! Theon and Jason at the pub.

Our days consisted of laying out at the beach/pool, playing volleyball and couples games, sleeping, reading and overall relaxation.

Our nights were filled with delicious dinners, shows, late nights in the pub and great times with our new friends.

Then it was time to go home, away from paradise. I had my last delicious nachos... seriously the best nachos in the world. So one week of marriage and seven pounds later we went back to reality.
But we came home to two precious signs from my best friend Ashley and my family... and wedding presents!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sandals Royal Caribbean. These pictures make me want to be there so bad. It was the time of a lifetime. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a honeymoon, it is worth every cent.
